Buying tires online can feel like a bit of a leap of faith. What if they don’t fit? What if something shows up damaged? These are fair questions, and we want to make sure you know exactly what to expect before you order. Here’s how returns and exchanges work at Only Tires.
The 30-Day Return Window
You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to submit a return request. That goes for pretty much any situation, whether you ordered the wrong tires, they don’t fit your vehicle, or something just isn’t right. Once your return is approved, the tires need to be shipped back within 10 days.
To get started, reach out to our team before sending anything back. We’ll get you a return authorization and walk you through the process from there.

Yes, We Accept Installed Tires
This one surprises a lot of people. If you had your tires installed to confirm fitment and they still didn’t work for your vehicle, we’ll still accept the return. Most retailers won’t do that. We will, as long as the correct vehicle information was provided when ordered, and the tires meet a few basic conditions.
Tires need to be free of punctures, plugs, or patches, show no abnormal wear or damage, and have been driven no more than about 5 miles for fitment testing. As long as those boxes are checked, you’re good.
What the Return Conditions Cover
Whether your tires were installed or not, returns are accepted as long as the tires are in returnable condition. That means no excessive wear, no damage beyond what’s expected from a short fitment test, and no track use or significant mileage. Tires also need to be securely packaged for the return shipment, since tires that arrive back damaged from poor packaging may not qualify for a full refund.
Return Shipping Costs
Return shipping fees can vary depending on the situation. If the return is related to a fitment issue or an error on our end, return shipping fees don’t apply. If you place a replacement order for the correct tires before your refund is processed, return fees are waived too. Our team can walk you through what applies to your specific situation when you reach out.

How Refunds Work
Once your return arrives and gets inspected, most refunds are processed within 3 business days. After that, the refund goes back to your original payment method within 2 to 3 business days. Your bank or payment may take a big longer on their end, but we move as quickly as we can on ours.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, reach out to us as soon as possible. Orders canceled within 24 hours of purchase won’t have any fees. After that window, our team works fast to process and ship orders, so depending on where things are in fulfillment, a return fee may apply. If the mistake was on our end, we’ll always make it right at no charge.
What to Do if Your Order Arrives Damaged
If your tires show up with any visible damage, report it to us within 48 hours of delivery so we can get it sorted out quickly. Don’t install damaged tires if you’re planning to exchange them. Get in touch with our team, send along your order number and some photos, and we’ll take it from there.
Warranty Coverage
Every tire sold through Only Tires comes with the manufacturer’s warranty. This covers things like manufacturing defects, premature tread wear, belt separation, and sidewall issues. It does not cover road hazards like nails or pothole damage, normal wear from regular use, or damage from improper installation.
We also offer optional Road Hazard Protection through Extend, available in 1, 2, or 3-year plans. That covers nail punctures, flat tires, pothole and road debris damage, curb impact, and sidewall cuts. If you want a little extra peace of mind on top of the manufacturer's warranty, it’s worth looking at during checkout.
To file a warranty claim, head to our warranty center and submit your order details along with photos of the issue. Our team reviews every claim within 2 to 3 business days.
Still Have Questions?
We know return policies can get confusing, and every situation is a little different. If yours doesn’t fit neatly into the guidelines above, just reach out. Our team will look at it case by case and work toward whatever makes the most sense. That’s how we’ve operated since 2003, and it’s not changing anytime soon.
