About This Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme 245/60R20XL

The Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme All Season in 245/60R20 is a good fit for drivers who want one tire that can handle daily pavement driving but wont feel out of place when the road turns to gravel. Its the kind of tire that makes sense on many SUVs and pickups that spend most of their time on streets and highways, with the occasional trip to a trailhead, campsite, job site, or a rough dirt driveway.

In everyday driving, you can expect a steady, planted feel, especially when the weather turns wet. For normal commuting and school runs, the grip should feel predictable when youre merging onto the freeway in the rain or slowing down for a light that just turned yellow. Its built to inspire confidence without needing you to think about it much, which is what most people really want from a tire.

Comfort is usually a strong point for this type of do a bit of everything tire, but its also realistic to expect a little more road sound than a tire made only for smooth highway use. On long highway trips you may notice a mild hum on certain surfaces, though most drivers find it easy to live with once youre at a steady speed.

Longevity should be solid for normal driving as long as you keep up with regular rotations and proper air pressure, but it isnt a specialized long-mileage commuter tire. One honest limitation: if you deal with frequent deep mud or serious winter ice and snow, this all-season option wont match the extra control of a dedicated mud tire or a true winter tire.
