About This Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme 245/65R17XL

The Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme in 245/65R17 is an all-terrain tire made for light trucks and SUVs that split time between everyday pavement and rougher roads. If your week looks like commuting, school runs, and highway miles, but your weekends include gravel driveways, job sites, muddy shoulders, or a campsite down a rutted road, this tire is aimed right at you. The raised white lettering also gives your vehicle a classic truck look.

In normal driving, its built to feel steady and predictable, especially when the weather turns. The tread pattern is designed to clear water and keep grip when the road is shiny from rain, so lane changes and on-ramps feel more confident. It also carries the severe snow rating, which is a good sign for drivers who regularly deal with slushy mornings, packed snow in neighborhoods, and winter trips where conditions can change quickly.

For comfort, its tuned to be quieter than many all-terrain tires. Youll still hear some hum at certain speeds, but it shouldnt drown out conversation or make long highway stretches feel tiring. Its also designed to wear evenly over time, and it comes with a long treadlife warranty, which is helpful if you rack up miles on errands and road trips.

One honest limitation: compared with a regular road-focused tire, an all-terrain like this can feel a bit firmer and can be slightly noisier, and it wont match a dedicated winter tire on glare ice.

choose this tire if:

You want one set of tires that can handle pavement, gravel, and light off-road use
Rain and winter slush are part of your regular driving
You value long-lasting tread for commuting and highway trips

Its a practical choice for drivers who need real-world versatility without giving up day-to-day comfort.
