Hankook Dynapro AT2 225/60R17

The Hankook Dynapro AT2 All Terrain in 225/60R17 is a practical choice for drivers who split their time between normal paved roads and the kind of rougher surfaces you run into in real lifegravel driveways, construction zones, rutted dirt roads, or the occasional trip to a campsite. Its aimed at everyday SUVs and crossovers that need a bit more go anywhere grip than a basic street tire, without feeling like an off-road-only setup.

In day-to-day drivingcommuting, errands, and highway milesthis tire is designed to feel steady and predictable. It should give you a confident, planted feel when you merge onto the freeway or make a quick lane change, and its the kind of tire that wont feel out of place when youre just doing school runs and grocery trips. The tread pattern is meant to help the tire hold on when roads are wet, so youre less likely to feel that nervous floaty sensation during a heavy rain.

Comfort and noise are usually the trade-off with an all-terrain tire, and this one is no exception. Compared with a typical street tire, you may notice a little more road soundespecially on smooth highwaysand the ride can feel slightly firmer over small bumps. The upside is that youre more prepared when pavement ends, and the tire is built for the kind of mixed-use wear that comes with real-world driving.

One honest limitation: if most of your driving is quiet, smooth freeway cruising, a street-focused tire will usually be calmer and a bit more efficient. And for serious winter ice, youll still want a dedicated winter tire for the safest grip.
