Yokohama AVID ENVigor 245/50R17

The Yokohama AVID ENVigor All Season in 245/50R17 is a good fit for everyday drivers who want one set of tires to handle commuting, errands, school runs, and weekend highway trips without fuss. This size is commonly found on many midsize sedans and some crossovers, and the tire is built to feel stable and confident at typical highway speeds.

In day-to-day driving, you can expect a planted feel when you merge, change lanes, or take a long on-ramp, without the car feeling floaty. Where this tire tends to matter most is wet weather: its designed to help you keep control when the road is shiny from rain, like during a sudden downpour on the way home from work or when you hit puddles in the right lane. As always, good tread depth and sensible speed still make the biggest difference.

Comfort and noise are usually what you notice after the first week. This tire is aimed at being easy to live with, so it should be a solid choice if you want a calm, predictable ride for daily miles and longer trips. It also comes with a 60,000-mile warranty, which is reassuring if you rack up miles over a few years.

One honest limitation: like most all-season tires, its not a substitute for a dedicated winter tire if you regularly deal with deep snow or icy streets.

choose this tire if:

• You want an all-season tire that feels confident in the rain for normal daily driving
• You drive a lot of highway miles and want a stable, predictable feel
• You like the extra peace of mind of a 60,000-mile warranty

For most drivers, its a sensible, no-drama upgrade that focuses on everyday safety and ease.
